My Writing
- The colour of the picture is in black and white, it has a silent & empty feeling to it. In the centre of the picture there is a sign facing in the other direction, the sign is an upside down triangle making it look as if its an ice cream cone. The photographer gave it an illusion as if it is an ice cream, he angled the camera in a way that would make the clouds sit on top of the upside triangle. To the right of the picture there is a shadow of the sign and a car parked in the distance with a tree looking down upon it. To the left side of the picture there is a house shaped as a triangle and to the left of the house, there is a huge tree also shaped as a triangle. In front of the house and tree there is some sort of car park with a caravan parked in the car park.
- There are three levels to this picture, the ground the middle ground and the top. The ground has a pavement and a car park and also a metal bar in the centre holding up the sign. The middle ground has more things to focus on, there is many trees, cars and also a house. The top is more spacious, it has a huge sky with clouds.
- The middle focus in this photograph is what is placed in the centre of the picture since the first thing you see is what is directly in front of you, the whole picture is in focus but I think the main thing is the sign that is placed in the middle.
- The most interesting thing I found in this picture was the way the photographer angled the frame. He angled it in a way that would give it an illusion as if the clouds were sitting on top of the sign like a ice cream cone even though the clouds are actually really far away.
- If I had met the photographer that has made this piece these are the question I would ask
|
- I think if I lived in this picture it would be a interesting life, the picture is in black and white which gives off a dull and depressing vibe. I would feel empty in this picture, there isn't a lot going on in this picture and it looks like a pretty sad life to live in.
- I think the only reason why the photographer took this photo was because of the alignment with the clouds and road sign giving the illusion that the clouds were sitting right on top of the sign.
- What I find really smart in this photo is how many triangles are secretly hidden in this photo. Another thing i find smart in this photo is the alignment of the sign and clouds.
